The Mountains and Plateaux’s across Saudi Arabia create a unique and picturesque backdrop for beautiful golf courses, new and old. Steeped in history, Saudi is yet to become a global powerhouse for golf tourism, however plans over the next 10 years will lead to 10+ new golf courses to support the countries infrastructure.
There are currently 14 golf courses in Saudi Arabia, 7 on grass, and 7 on sand. The most famous of those grass courses is Royal Greens Golf and Country Club, which opened in 2017, and has played host to the European Tour and the Ladies European Tour in recent years.
The capital city, Riyadh, plays host to four grass golf courses, and is the hub for growing the game in the next few years. Riyadh Golf Club, Dirab Golf Club, Arizona (9-holes) and Nofa Resort provide visitors with an entirely unique layout, and a challenge for new and advanced golfers.
