NOVEMBER 18, 2025, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The 2025 PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers officially starts tomorrow morning with the opening round with a record seven players from Saudi Arabia in the field. Now a part of the WOW Festival, one of the signature experiences of Riyadh Season 2025, the Festival combines golf, cars and entertainment in one immersive celebration of sport and culture, transforming Riyadh Golf Club into the heart of a truly world-class experience.
Monday and Tuesday’s Pro-Am events set the tone for an exciting week ahead, bringing together professional stars and amateur guests for a day of world-class golf and Saudi hospitality. The Pro-Ams showcased the global appeal of the championship, uniting players and partners in a setting that blends elite competition with entertainment and community.
The event has once again attracted a stellar international field featuring seven Major winners, 46 Asian Tour champions, 18 LIV Golf winners, and 23 PGA Tour title holders, representing 33 nationalities, including seven Saudi players.
Sponsored by the Public Investment Fund (“PIF”), the championship serves as a global platform reflecting Saudi Arabia’s growing role as a sporting and investment powerhouse. It also reinforces the Kingdom’s leadership in shaping the future of golf, developing the sport locally, creating opportunities for Saudi talent and hosting events that meet the highest international standards in the game.
Thanks to Golf Saudi and the Saudi Golf Federation, the Kingdom continues to build an integrated golf ecosystem that promotes participation, nurtures talent, and delivers events that merge sport, culture and entertainment.
As part of Riyadh Season 2025, the WOW Festival delivers an immersive experience that celebrates golf alongside luxury cars, live music, and hospitality, offering something for fans, families and visitors alike. This fusion of sport and entertainment captures the creativity, openness and energy that define modern Saudi Arabia.
Noah Alireza, CEO of Golf Saudi, said: “The Pro-Am has set a perfect stage for what promises to be one of the most exciting weeks in global golf. It’s an incredible showcase of competition, creativity, and connection, where the world’s best meet the energy of Riyadh Season. We’re proud to host an event that reflects both the excellence of our players and the ambition of Saudi Arabia’s sporting future.”
Faisal Salhab, one of the Saudi players in the tournament, said: “I'm very excited. It's the seventh event. I think this is the sixth time I've played here. Now that it's in Riyadh, it's even bigger and bigger for me. My family is going to be coming out and my friends and a lot more of the Saudi crowd is going to be here. It's great for people to come out and see the best players in the world and for me to compete at the highest level on my home course. It's going to be a big week, and I'm very excited.”
Shergo Al Kurdi, another of the Saudi players, said: “It’s brilliant. Every year I come here, it's really well run and the most enjoyable tournament of the year. Obviously, the field is an amazing field. So it will be a great week, especially in my home country, to put on the best performance I can.”
Saud Al Sharif, another of the Saudi players, said of the WOW Festival: “It brings entertainment, a bit more noise to the tournament. That's very important to realize that golf should be all about fun and about the people who want to come and watch are also going to have a lot of fun at the same time.”
The 2025 PIF Saudi International begins in full tomorrow, running from November 19-22 at Riyadh Golf Club.
